Multi Dimensional Interpretation Software         System

Introduction & Principles

Multi-D Interpretation ® is based on a combine inversion of several seismic or non-seismic attributes into a qualitative or quantitative reservoir parameter. Multi-D software contains modules for attributes extraction, best Multi-D attributes choosing, qualitative and quantitative properties computation.

The term Multi-D attribute means a set of initial and transformed maps or profiles. The set includes geophysical data related to a geological feature out of which a relationship is established by algorithms of Multi Dimensional Interpretation - MDI software or assumed by the user. Formally, the number of maps (or profiles) is unlimited and may be equal to one hundred and more. Most frequently the number is from three to ten.

Seismic attributes sections, gravity gradient, residuals of structural and others maps are examples of transformed data useful for reservoir characteristics prognosis.

Multi Dimensional Interpretation Software System can be licensed in different configurations depending on customer’s problems and user’s number. It consists of two comprehensive packages Areal Data Integrator-ADI and Profile Multi-D Interpreter-PMDI, for areal and profile data interpretation, respectively. The packages contain tools for comparing and integrating obtained results. The applications of both packages allows the users to construct geological models of all geophysical data processed by the software.

A special configuration, “Section Classification Tool” is suggested for seismic specialists. It is an easy to use optional module for common processing and interpretation procedures, allowing improving resolution, fault & horizon tracing, geological and lithological interpretation of seismic sections.

The configuration “Model Monitoring” is necessary for quick model elaboration and updating with the MDI Software system according to well data, recently acquired.
